It was with a heavy heart that we left Santa Pola as we'd been very tempted to just stay and spend the winter there! With hindsight we should probably have stayed another week as we weren't really ready for the shock of the colder weather when we headed north and, with 2 weeks left before we had to be back in the UK, using one of those weeks in the sun would have been great!

Anyway we headed off towards another of those locations that had been penciled in for the trip as we hadn't been there before - Andorra.

Rather that drive all the way there we decided to stop in the foothills of the mountains at a free Aire in the small town of Asco. The Aire was pretty decent although didn't have anything in the way of facilities although it looks like they were being put in. The town is dominated by a small castle on a hill above, so we decided to walk up there to have a look.

It wasn't open but there were some information boards and it was a great viewpoint to the surrounding area, including a nearby nuclear power station.
